1) What is the article about?
The article is about Mr Andrew Tan quitting drugs. He took 20 sleeping pill a day. In 1995 he was caught taking drugs and was sent to prison and went through rehabilitation. When he came out from prison, he could control himself but he still took drug. Four or five of his friends had committed suicide because they took the drug same drugs. In 2002 he went cold turkey and fainted twice. He was hospitalised for three weeks. After that he recovered.

2)What do you think of him/her?
He did the right thing. If he continued taking drugs his life would really be meaningless. Now he is happy and his family too is happy with his progress.

The miracle of life

It first started when the author 's baby brother fell sick. The author 's family thought it was a ear infection.They brought the baby to see a doctor. The doctor said it was a ear infection.

A few days later the baby was still holding his ears, so they went to see another doctor. He did not know what it was . A couple of days later the doctor found that the baby contracted bone marrow cancer. The author 's parents rushed to the hospital in an ambulace. They stayed in the hospital for several weeks. The author 's father went home to take care of the author and his sisters. They still try to visit the baby as much as possible. The doctor tried a round of chemotherapy. It helped but it made the author 's brother lose some hair. The baby needed a bone marrow transplant.

The doctor tested the family and found that the author and one of his sisters have the same matching bone marrow as the baby brother. The author 's mum chose him because he was the oldest. The next day,the author went for the transplant. The operation was successful.The family must be careful with the baby.Two years later the baby is strong and very energetic.

We must never give up. The baby brother seems to have contracted a incurable disease. There is very low chance of recovering. Yet, a miracle happens.

What do you think about him/her? The main character is Mr Nordin Montong who is 32 years old. I think he is stupid to commit suicide like this as it is very painful when the tiger bites. He will feel the pain for a long time as he will not die immediately.

3)Would you do the same thing ?
No. There are many other ways to die, that would not hurt so much. For example you can die by jumping down a building, inject yourself with poison. Anyway why would I want to commit suicide.

Two doctors certify that if you are in sounded mind and request that you want to die they will give you a kind of drug which will overdose, after a few minutes you are dead. Heath Minister Khaw Boon Wan raised the issued that if this should be allowed in Singapore.He asked doctors to have a dicussion to see if this should be allowed. Dr Chin Jing Jih said there must be a consistent definition of euthanasia to ensure a good disscussion. Many people merely advocate peaceful death end up on the record as saying the want this kind of death.

two woman and one man wanted to look better and now they regret it. Madam Asmah allowed Madam Nora the beautician to inject her face and lips with "collagen" and her breast with "hormones". But following the treatment she experienced painful swelling. A 36-years-old technician , Mr Jefri, went toMadam Nora hoping to get the dimpled chin like John Travolta. After that had still had to wait for another two and a half years.
